Free Games
Francisco Fernandez
Steam games that are under free to play. If it's a no cent per minute cost to operators, it means all profit.
Games such as "The Lab" are licensed free commercially. Need more games likes this.
- Star Wars Droid Repair Bay
- Trials on Tatooine
- Spider-Man: Far From Home Virtual Reality
- NVidia VR Funhouse
- Smash Party VR
6.President Erect VR
- Home - A VR Space Walk
- Apollo 11 VR
Some games are free on Steam and then get charged when licensed through SBVR. Couldn't hurt to check to see if this list of games could potentially stay free to maximize profits.

Does anyone know of or have a list of games that are legally free for us to use commercially that aren’t on springboard? There has to be more than just the lab.
Also maybe a list of games that are legal to buy once for each station would be helpful too.

I thought we could manually add any game we choose and still run through the launcher at no charge? Is this still correct?
Francisco Fernandez
Brian Holley: If you mean the content that is in the SBVR Marketplace, then yes, everything that SBVR supplies to us is commercially licensed. If you purchased them through the steam cafe program and purchased the "commercial license" then you're fine and can run them through SBVR. If you just bought them as a regular purchase from Steam without a Steam Cafe Program account and commercial license, that's not exactly something you should be doing. Hope this helps to clarify.

Francisco Fernandez: Hey Francisco, thanks for the response and insight. So I've been trying to understand the Steam Cafe program and a bit stuck as it seems kinda vague. So this program allows you to run a game title for a monthly rate? Also, I see your response to another question that we could download and run "The Lab" game for free without commercial license? Just download and add to the launcher?
Francisco Fernandez
Brian Holley: Here you go Brian. I had a lot of questions myself and luckily, @thevrclub was very insightful and helpful as even giving me a list of games. Some are free, some are one-time purchase, and some do have a monthly rate. I went through most of the list and saw that nearly all of the monthly rate ones are not anywhere near ideal in price. The Steam program is free, so Batman Arkham VR I purchased for $20 (x4 per station) but now is considered free per minute to me since it was a one-time purchase. If you did the Steam Program correctly, all of your steam accounts should have a purchase commercial license under the regular consumer version of the game, if it does indeed have a commercial license.
This is the convo I had with @thevrclub, if you have any other questions, I'll try to assist you with the process. Good luck!

- Make a steam account (Master Account) for the Steam Program. Can't be any of the ones you already have now loaded with games.
- Sign up and put all the account under that steam account
- If you did everything correctly, sign in to steam and go to store > games > PC Cafe games on steam > Virtual Reality or go to the list that vrclub and I talked about and search those specific games and make sure it has the commercial license hooked up to the purchase part
- purchase 1 commercial license per station or monthly, based on what you're doing
- add content manually on sbvr and presto!
Hope this all helps.

Francisco Fernandez: you sir are awesome! I will take a look!

Jayson Paglow
Hey Francisco, can you elaborate a bit more? Games that are free on Steam are licensed for home use only. Are these titles free through the Steamworks/Steam Cafe licensing platform?
Francisco Fernandez
Jayson Paglow: You can get commercial licenses when you obtain them under a steam cafe program account. Of course, a lot of them are a one-time purchase but some such as the Lab remain free. A lot of the games that I put up are free for home use, but it'd be great to see these sought after for free commercial use just as the lab.
