Kids waivers & streamlined bookings
Hi Springboard! We really enjoyed using Springboard for the past two fairs. Overall it was a very positive experience. Our web/graphics guy had some requests that would make it even better. Let us know what you think! From @Bradley Kyle Anderson Wanted to write out a few quick changes I have been wondering about for the Springboard CRM. First, I think it would be a good idea to ask if there is any way to get the waiver solution for kids completed within the system. @Rachel Renee and I chatted about some different solutions, but if we could keep it all proprietary and simply have a section where the adult waiver could include a line for dependants, that would be awesome. That seems like an issue most places would face, not just a traveling VR operation, so I don't see why they wouldn't want to add that feature. The other question we should chat with them about is trickier. Right now, to book a VR escape room for Benton Fair, I have to jump through 2 splash pages that show the fair location options, then an explanation page with the dates, then land on the actual booking page, where there is still a chance that they could choose the wrong dates. That's a total of 4 clicks I have to make before even entering my information if a user sees a social ad about these offerings. For perspective, we lost people on music social ads by almost half after 1 extra click was added on the single click portal. To make this more streamlined, we should be able to set up and generate multiple storefront URLs based on isolated date ranges. The experiences can stay the same - we just need the assurance of knowing the user will always choose a date that is available in their given territory. As long as that is the case, and we have one URL per fair with the correct date range, we should be able to market them effectively. Right now, our online signup rate is going to be very slim because of this UI issue. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you guys! Make The Arrows Bigger!!
Please make the arrows to go to the next game page much bigger! They are so tiny and blend in.
Communicating With Customers In VR
I want the ability to communicate with customers while they are in the VR headset.
Countdown on screen and headset before session end
It could be great if there was a countdown before the end of a session. Ajustable, maybe 20, 10 or 5 secondes.
Remove age gate from booking widget
So many customers mistakenly think they need to enter their kid's birth date in the booking widget. It seems silly, but it happens. And then when their kid's age is under 13 and they can't progress the booking process the customer get frustrated, calls me to clarify (even though there is a link for more info they don't read it), or worse doesn't book at all. I'd rather have the option on my end to remove the need for an age gate from the widget, we don't really see this on other booking systems for companies in my country anyway.
Option to select how many stations is reserved for one group when making reservation through admin view.
It is annoying to make reservation through admin view, because you have to click "add group", then you have to click time, then you have to click use coupon etc. You should be able to make this by selecting number of stations for each group.
Spectator Screen shows that the Springboard overlay is active.
9/10 problems we have are "I cant see anything!", after the user has accidentally opened the Springboard overlay. As there is no external way of seeing that this overlay is open, it is difficult to advise customers the correct fix (as they are reporting game faults, not an overlay)
Reset Center calibration
A button similar to steam vr where you can reset the center of your position in the game. In case tracking messes up or something else. Only issues I have been having using springboard is the centering of the player.
Game list for website
We absolutely need a non-3rd party solution for listing all games on our website based on the content we have installed. I found one where a guy said if we give him our login info for our springboard account he can run some program he wrote to screen grab the game list. There’s no way in hell I’ll do that. Is this really that hard to save the games to a local text file or something? I mean if I go into my content page I see all my games I have installed. I just need an output of the game, and then a link to the video and the image file. You have all of these things on the page in front of me, is there no way to output that info to an HTML page or something? HTML source would be ideal so I can just copy paste it into my Wordpress website page setup for games.
Mobile phone app for iPhone to control sessions
I’m always with the players when they’re are playing but my main system is on the front desk Pc, whenever I need to start and stop session time to help someone I have to constantly run to the front pause time, run back, help someone, run back to the front, restart time... I’m sure you can see the issue. I use the web browser version but in all honesty it’s faster to run around because when I log into the operator monitor screen it sends me to a login page, then to the operator panel then to the monitor stations page where I can then scroll (on the small screen vertically doesn’t even have the sessions showing only the active sessions, I have to turn it sideways which messes up the screen more if they’re at the bottom stations) to the session I want, select them... yada yada... We need a simple iPhone app that just shows active sessions, let me select the session or group and then pause and start time on the fly without all the scrolling, logging in, switching screens... it’s far too cumbersome and time consuming. I even considered getting a dedicated iPad for this and also for making and taking bookings too but it’s still far too challenging to work with the web browser version on the iPad.
