Countdown on screen and headset before session end
It could be great if there was a countdown before the end of a session. Ajustable, maybe 20, 10 or 5 secondes.
Default Volume Upon Idle Resume
The volume control for the idle video is great, but there should be a definable default volume that Springboard returns to upon the headset resuming from idle. It would also be nice if this default volume was activated each time a new session was started just in case the previous user had the volume at max.
Have change log on CDS title
Currently the CDS titles will just push new update and we don't know what changes for the game. Therefore please require the developers to submit change log when they submit their new version please. Thank you
Ability to create a custom message that pops up when people launch a game
Certain games just have those specific things that we like to tell our customers when they jump into a game. It would be nice if in the title's settings on SBVR Library that we could write this customer message and it would pop up in the HMD view for X amount of seconds after the game is launched. Examples of things I would say: - Zombie Training Simulator - "Your guns are directly behind you, turn around and walk towards them and grab with the trigger" - SUPERHOT - "Use the grip button on the side of the controller with your middle finger or ring finger to grab objects" - Google Earth - "Push the thumbpad on your dominant hand to start, or pull the trigger to get into the tutorial" - Job Simulator - "If you're short, open the "Options" panel at the beginning and lift the LEFT switch up to adjust game's height" These are all things that when we see people jumping in that we always run over to tell them and it would help to have an auto-message system telling them these things that the developers haven't included for our customers to catch on faster.
Increase the size of the X when searching by name
I get issues every now and then with a customer that gets into the titles search section, often times by accident, and they don't know how to get out of it. I'll hear them asking "how do I get out of this screen" and more often then not it's because they simply didn't notice the tiny X in the far top right. Of course, it's just like everything we're used to on a PC, the X being in the top right to close out, but when they're in VR I guess it's not expected now that a UI should be similar to Windows. Also, a lot of our customers are very young and are probably more familiar with UIs that don't have the X in the top tight anymore since they're more familiar with smart phones that just have you swiping to close things, not an X.
Change Difficulty, Add Experiences to a Station & Auto-Start
I would like to rename the difficulty or even create new categories(not tags!) and hide the difficulty categories. Our customers completely ignore easy medium and hard and we would like to change the names for "Beginner", "Player" and "Professional" so that it is easier to explain to the customers which game they should start with, depending on their experience with VR. Would also be great to sell different experiences for the same station, for example during the reservation the customer can choose if they have any experience in vr or if it is their first time. Being first time their station would only show beginner games with a reduced hourly cost and auto-start SteamVR Tutorial once their reservation starts.
Option to Hide Difficulties in Launcher
Option to hide the Difficulties filter and the Difficulties on the Game cards
Time Remaining on the Display Screen
It would be nice if we could have the time remaining on the display screen, in a floating window, as well as in the headset.
Run integrity check on CDS manually on a specific title
The current integrity check on CDS only run when startup and when a title failed. Would like to run it manually on specific title similar to Steam integrity check.
Spectator Screen shows that the Springboard overlay is active.
9/10 problems we have are "I cant see anything!", after the user has accidentally opened the Springboard overlay. As there is no external way of seeing that this overlay is open, it is difficult to advise customers the correct fix (as they are reporting game faults, not an overlay)
