Add "Game Loadouts" for easily switching available games on a Station
Waylon Fisher
I have been asking for this for years! I hope to see it get implemented. There are many use cases where this can be used. First timers, edu content, restricting to just multiplayer with kid friendly games, and much more
Kate Nolton
Please, please could we have an update as to when this might be planned. Not having this feature is killing so many of my ideas of fun things to do in the arcade for customers!
Michelle Nehrenz
Kate Nolton: Hey Kate, I replied in the Discourse thread but incase people want to see it here I'll copy my response. We have discussed Game Loadouts and are aware of the challenges. Unfortunately we are not able to fit this feature request into our tight Q4 roadmap. I know it's probably not the news you were hoping to hear but we will continue to push for it moving forward and keep you updated if and when we are able to build this out. Thanks!

Is this being considered?
I'm still relatively new, haven't opened the arcade yet, but have 5 stations loaded and testing out. I was under the assumption I could create a content "profile" ... then I could load out this profile in realtime via the station monitor (same way you change age limits to limit what a station sees in the launcher in real time) .... I'm trying to workaround this by using the age limit restrictions ... BUT if I could have a "content profile" (education, STEM, no-shooters, Art, etc) I could then use this profile for realtime loadout in Monitor, or in scheduling, or just in putting content on the Stations instead of the current "load all" .. or pick individually.
In my small town it's pretty "bible belty" and I'd like to be able to customize on the fly when a parent walks in and says "ohhh no, no shooters for little Johnny"

Scott Hanson: Hey Scott! This is something we have discussed quite a bit and our Product team is reviewing the possibility of building this out. There are a lot of different ways it could work so we are trying to collect info from people about how they would use the feature so that if and when we build it, it works for the most people. We also have a discussion on Discourse for this request which you can view here, https://community.springboardvr.com/t/request-for-easy-changing-of-what-games-are-available/654/8
If you have any specific ways you think this feature would work best let us know! Thanks!

Merged in a post:
Limit a station for specific games(age, parent choice etc)
Daniel Wiegand
It would be great for private events such as kid birthday parties because some parents don't want some of the content available during the event. Currently the only solution I've found was to go into each station and disable game by game, which takes soooooo long when you have over 40 games
Marie Lamouret
Hello Daniel Wiegand,
You can change the age limit for games per reservation in the monitor. Go to Monitor Station > left column where the stations are listed > click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of a station > select the age limit you want in the dropdown. This will only show the customer content that has been rated appropriate for the selected age.
Does this solve your issue?
Thanks!
Daniel Wiegand
Marie Lamouret: It solves but it still is a manual process, station per station. Is there a way the customer inputs the average age of players(or select from a drop-down menu like 'kids, teenagers, adults') when making the reservation and this automatically sets the reserved stations for this age limit for all groups in that reservation?
Marie Lamouret
Daniel Wiegand: not yet unfortunately. But we have a feature request for this so I will merge your post with it. Thanks!

I second this! (or third or fourth or whatever)

Hey all! I just updated this description and title a bit to go more in line with how we are thinking of handling this.
Rather than multiple Experience, we are going to add it so Experience's have "Game Loadouts". Predefined lists of Games that you can automatically add or remove from a Station. Let me know if that still fits all of your use cases or if there is any features missing from that!
Alex Berg
Matthew Hall: Perfect!
James Pollock
Matthew Hall: YESSS!!!
Noah Brotman
Matthew Hall: This would be very helpful for kid friendly events where parents have asked for there to not be any violent games.
Christopher-Marcel Böddecker
Noah Brotman: You can already do this! Assign an age rating to the game on the web panel and then in the Station Monitor go to the ... menu on the station card to change the active age limit!
If you need any help with this mail support@springboardvr.com, thanks!
Rachel Williams
Matthew Hall: This would be super helpful, yes. It is much easier to make a few game profiles like this than to have to manually change it all on each station you have.

Here's another scenario that the booking system can not handle at the moment.
Let's say I have 8 regular stations for people to enjoy VR. This is the "standard experience".
Now I want to offer a birthday package with also the same 8 stations included, but with different time slots and other info specific to birthday parties. This is the "birthday experience".
As of now I'm expected to have a total of 16 VR stations, because my 8 regular stations are already "used up" by the standard experience and can not be assigned to the birthday party, even though they are not booked at that specific time.
We would love to migrate to the Springboard booking system, but this is currently a deal breaker for us. And no, asking customers to simply "be smart" and just book all the "standard experience" stations for extended times like for a birthday and ignore the wrong price information given is not a solution!
Matthew Hall
Madis Vasser: We are going to handle this with a more advanced system to do with our Booking system rather than Experiences!
Madis Vasser
Matthew Hall: Not having to configure individual stations one by one would be awesome! But for us, standard experiences and event setups actually have the same games on offer, so if the booking system still conflicts between single stations and whole room bookings, we're still screwed.
Matthew Hall
Madis Vasser: Yes sorry! I meant we will be adding a system to the Booking where you can specify what counts as a "full room" (Likely will be called something else more generic when we build it), so that way they can "upgrade" or be prompted when booking multiple stations to book them all together in one room
Madis Vasser
Matthew Hall: I'm soon planning to add a few new games to our fleet of stations. That means doing the same repetitive task for each game and each station 16 times over. For the love of sanity, make the "batch add" or "game loadouts" feature a reality on the operator side please :)
Matthew Hall
Madis Vasser: Sadly our Games/Content revamp is still in the planning and design stages
